English Listening Introduction (3 Credits)
In this class students will have an opportunity to become more accustomed to spoken English through intensive English-listening training.
Tourism (3 Credits)
This course aims to give students have an extensive comprehension and professional knowledge of tourism.
Hotel Management (3 Credits)
This teaches students to have an extensive comprehension of 21st century's hotel industry and to learn the basic knowledge of hotel management and organization necessary to run a hotel. The class will also help them to undergo practical business tasks regarding room management and food and beverage management.
Overseas Tourism Field Training (1 Credit)
This class aims to give students an opportunity to directly experience foreign culture and learn more about it during their overseas field trip.
Basic TOEIC (3 Credits)
This class aims to provide a basic training course for TOEIC
Tourism English Reading Comprehension (3 Credits)
This course is intended for students to understand the phenomena and fundamental principles of tourism. Additionally, students have to improve their structural and English sentence understanding of the English texts on tourism study. Understanding of tourism and understanding of English sentences are vital for this course.
Tourism English Conversation Ⅰ(3 Credits)
This course aims to provide students with intensive conversation fundamentals. Successful completion of this course is necessary for students to fully enjoy and understand subsequent courses.
Tour Guide English (3 Credits)
This course aims at educating the would-be tour guide and developing the students' qualities as good guides through learning about the natural, historical and cultural resources and heritage, and practicing the skills necessary to assist them in guiding foreign tourists.
English Translation Technique (3 Credits)
The purpose of this course is to learn how to translate and to apply translation techniques to a variety of translation materials regarding politics, economy, society, culture, literature and so on.
Tourism English Conversation Ⅱ (3 Credits)
This course is the intermediate level of Tourism Interpretation English Conversation. The emphasis is on English used in personal interaction with English speakers.
English Composition Study (3 Credits)
This course aims to have students learn how to write skillfully in English through systematic writing training.
Exercises for TOEIC (3 Credits)
TOEIC tests consist of two parts-listening comprehension and reading comprehension. This course is intended for students to understand the typical parts of L/C and R/C respectively. Next, students have to practice model tests many times. And then students will have the English ability of international communication and be prepared for a good score in the actual TOEIC test.
Travel Agency Information Management (3 Credits)
This course is intended to provide students with theoretic and practical knowledge of traveling and managing a travel agency. They can improve their potential management ability of a travel agency with such knowledge.
Tourism English Conversation Ⅲ (3 Credits)
This course aims to provide students with the experience and strategies necessary to interact in group speaking situations, such as debates and discussions. Cultural factors influencing English interaction will also be explored. Topics covered include current events and special interest areas.
Convention Planning English (3 Credits)
This course aims at learning Convention Planning English through the process of learning the terms and forms of the documents necessary for planning all kinds of small and large conventions.
Practical English Reading (3 Credits)
This course is intended for students to improve the English reading comprehension involved in various kinds of studies-TOEIC, TOFLE, TEPS, IELTS, essays, newspapers, articles, English tourism texts, etc. This extensive reading will help the students to increase their understanding of world reading and to expand their experience indirectly by reading these English materials.
Stewardess Service Practice (2 Credits)
In this class students will learn about the flight attendant's in-cabin experience and become trained to do this job. Also they will learn more about flight attendants' standard behavior in preparation for application for the position of flight attendant.
Overseas Internship Ⅰ (18 Credits)
This overseas internship course will provide students with an opportunity to learn more about foreign culture and to improve their English ability. This course also can broaden students' international awareness and help them to get a job in the tourism fields in the future.
Introduction to Interpretation and Translation Studies (3 Credits)
This course aims at learning the basic theory of interpretation and translation, and improving students' competence for translation and interpretation by actually translating and interpreting a variety of material.
Introduction to Travel (3 Credits)
As prosumers are increasing in 21st century, the number of free travelers is rising. The purpose of the class is to teach the students basic knowledge about travel and help them to find out their selves and reach self-realization through their travel.
Understanding Tourism Information (3 Credits)
This class helps students to learn about the impact of more developed information technology on the tourism industry and the value of this technology. The class also has them cultivate their skill in searching for and gathering useful information regarding hotels, airlines and tourist attractions.
Tourism Hotel English (3 Credits)
This course is intended for students to understand the phenomena of tourism and hotel operation. Next, students have to study and practice English conversation focused on the hotel area (hotel-speak). This course will especially provide students with hotel clerk English, hotel guest English and any ancillary language necessary in the hotel field.
English Interpretation Ⅰ (3 Credits)
This class focuses on conversational English only. There is no Tourism English instruction. Students should expect to participate in 'REAL LIFE' English projects outside of class time. Such projects include: emails to foreign pen pals, movie study, TV show study and novel study.
Basic English Grammar (3 Credits)
This class is for students with low level knowledge of English grammar. They will conceptually learn about the structure of English grammar and its usage. Also they will have a chance to understand communicative English grammar by studying and analyzing TOEIC questions.
Tourism Current English (3 Credits)
This course provides an opportunity for students to read current international news in English, plus tourism articles. The emphasis is on teaching current English and tourism-related words and sentences.
Cultural Tourism (3 Credits)
In the 21st century the tourism industry is expected to grow and expand along with cultural growth. In this class students will have time to think about the future of the tourism industry through cultural analysis of tourism activities in South Korea and other countries.
English Interpretation Ⅱ (3 Credits)
This class is ENGLISH CONVERSATION ONLY. Students will be expected to participate in 'REAL LIFE ENGLISH" projects outside of regular class time. These projects will include: e-mailing foreign pen pals, English movie study, TV show study and English novel study.
Listening to CNN (3 Credits)
In this class students listen to CNN news. This course will help students to understand the world's culture and to improve their English listening comprehension.
Communicative English Grammar (3 Credits)
This class is mainly for students with an intermediate level knowledge of English grammar. In this class the students learn how to actually use English grammar by studying the relationship between English grammar as a linguistic format and English information as a linguistic meaning.
Stewardess Image-making (2 Credits)
This course focuses on providing useful information and knowledge to students who want to be flight attendants and improving their self-image systematically through intensive image-making training.
International Meetings (3 Credits)
This course aims to teach students the basic academic and practical knowledge of the convention industry. Also, this class will help the students to cultivate their presentation ability, which is necessary to acquire a convention planner's certificate.
Airport Stewardess English (2 Credits)
This course aims at teaching Airline Service English that flight attendants and stewardesses use in their daily work.
English Interpretation Ⅲ (3 Credits)
This class has two main components. First, students can expect to study TOEIC English vocabulary usage in the context of current events. Secondly, they can expect to further develop discussion skills.
Presentation English (3 Credits)
In this class students learn how to present certain given subjects or themes before an audience.
Domestic and Foreign Language Course Training, or On-the-job Training (2 Credits)
This course gives students an opportunity to learn more about the tourism industry through direct experience. Through on-the job training they will gain experience in tourism business.
Overseas Internship Ⅱ (18 Credits)
